on MTB
The Via della Lana e della Seta can also be traveled by bicycle, both by mountain bike and gravel, following the dedicated tracks. You will venture into the long dirt roads among the woods of the Apennines, riding fun singletracks among the breathtaking views of the mountains of Bologna and Prato.
There are three recommended stages for mountain biking or gravel biking along the Via della Lana e della Seta. The Apennines between Bologna and Prato offer fun singletracks that run along thick beech and chestnut woods, up to the secondary dirt and asphalt roads that connect the various historic villages of medieval origin in our mountains.
The bike itinerary, in its two variants, does not differ much from the original walking route, allowing all cyclists to experience the same views as walkers, adding many sectors where you can test yourself!
